I was talking to one of my friends the other day when she said something along the lines of, "come on, how long do you expect to keep getting together with Vero friends?" I just thought to myself, well...as long as possible. My friends at school (UBers, Chamberliners, the works) are awesome, but I can't ever have the same connection with them that I do with people here.

I get the impression that I care a lot more about some of my Vero friends than they care about me. The thing that makes the friendship so important to me is the very fact that this doesn't matter, and that I'm still going to care about them. Whether or not they want to hang out with me, I'm going to impose myself on them, and I'm going to have a great time. They make me laugh. They make me feel completely comfortable, like I don't have to prove anything. Sure, some of them really don't give a shit about me, but as long as they keep making me laugh and don't start locking me out of Ben's house, I am going to consider these friendships the most honest and important ones I have and likely will ever have.
