Natalie

My name is Natalie, though it should have been Nathalie in my opinion. I'm a rising fourth year (don't say senior, and don't ask me why) at the University of Chicago, majoring in linguistics, theoretically. I started out as an math with specialization in economics major with a minor in computer science, but then had a crisis of sorts, and realized I never want to take another math class ever again. I have an unhealthy addiction to Arrested Development and certain aspects of Ayn Rand (someday you will be mine, Ragnar). I'm also the webmaster for University Ballet of Chicago and what used to be Cacophony Coffee. Cacaophony is no more, but I promise it didn't have anything to do with the website. And UBallet is going strong! Nattily.org has been in operation since August 2005, and has basically housed my life since then. If you have any ideas to make me or the site better, or you just think I am really cool, you should email me. I love getting emails from strangers (and friends).

I knit a lot, but I have finally started a knitting blog separate from my dream blog, separate still from my everyday blog, which is also separate from my sexual fantasy blog.

Random Facts:

  • I live next door to Obama. Not the White House or wherever he stays in D.C., his real house in Hyde Park, Chicago.
  • I have two cats. They are Audreycat and Gilroycat. Technically Audrey and Girlroy. Affectionately Audrey and Fuckhead.
  • I typically write papers in the last four to five hours before they are due (depending on the length - it might be as many as six before if it is more than twelve pages).
  • I was on the math and brain bowl teams in high school, and I'm actually not embarassed. Also, I was not very good at either one.
  • I've been coding since I was fourteen, but I'm still pretty incompetent.
  • I like to pretend that I can speak French, but really I only know enough to convince you that either a) I am a brilliant fluent French scholar or b) I am a pretentious asshole.
